Why i registered in facebook,
The author raises an important issue. Facebook has been growing in an extraordinary speed people with no facebook accounts are considered old and outdated. And people with facebook accounts and not many online friends are considered lonely and sad. BAsicly its a labeling aystem in facebook that invades the user's mind and forcing him to fake a persona in order to gain friends or to be considered popular. I have never used facebook for educational purposes but thats only because i have alternatives.
Facebook and privacy is an issue by itself. User's must know the diffrence between fun and inappropriate.
Q1: how did you define the user privacy settings and why?
Q2: have you added a respectable figurr like a father, boss or teacher on facebook? How did that change your posts?

ReplyDeleteI think everyone has his/her definition of privacy. As I said in my blog, what kind of information we put in Facebook, that is our privacy.
I never ever think to add or accept any friendship from any respectable figure.

ReplyDeleteA1: I have to accept anyone before letting them see my profile. Privacy is strict. Why? because I don't want anyone to use my information or pictures without letting me know.
A2: No, honestly I don't mind. But I haven't had the idea to do so.

A1-the privacy is very important for me because i am Saudi woman ,so i don't accept any one on Facebook.
ReplyDeleteA2-i added my teachers and my uncle . it is normal because i know them and for me i don't put personal things on Facebook because i don't trust the internet.
1. privacy is very difficult to talk about because we have different opinion about it . you can't accept some one that you don't know , so you must protect your self and your profile
